Dr. Marinela Nemetz is originally from Texas and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston in 1996. Following dental school, she completed a two year residency at the University of Texas in Houston and Herman Hospital, where she received her certificate in pediatric dentistry. In addition to her training, she is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Nemetz is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and a member of the Jacksonville Dental Society. As a strong advocate for early dental care, she has developed an educational program for local preschools and elementary schools.  She and her staff regularly visit schools with their mascot “Freddy Flossisaurous” teaching children how to take care of their teeth and that visiting the dentist can be fun!

Dr. Nemetz moved to Jacksonville in 2001 and lives in Julington Creek, with her husband, Bob and their two children, Joseph and Danielle. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and being involved in community activities.
